I never liked working at this hall in the past - But I do NOW!! What a suprise when I arrived in Dec 2021 to DJ at a party. I mean, gone is the awful 1m deep stage. Gone is the ridiculous side door, and shabby interiour. The Borrowdale (Rosthwiate) Institute is now amazing with new wide glass doors, disabled lift to the first floor meeting room, total bar revamp, and new a kitchen. There's a 'hot dog stand' style 2nd bar in the re-skimmed and painted function room, which also boasts a fresh solid wooden floor and blutetooth speakers. Above all, it has a great atmosphere - and perfect for weddings and other events, plus you can easily bring your own caterting with plenty of space.
