This is a hidden gem in the Lake District. A perfect location that gives peace and quiet; the lake, walks, and nature on the doorstep; easy access to Keswick, really well looked after accommodation, and hosts that want to know you have a good time. I've started a number of times in a few of the different accommodation options. Have loved every time.

Had a lovely quiet 3 nights here in the Studio apartment. Alan & Cheryl are very nice hosts. The scenery is utterly stunning. Borrowdale is our new favourite in the Lakes. Catbells, Manesty Forest, lovely hotels, tea rooms, great walks and views - what is there not to like 😊.

Manesty is a wonderful location to stay. A very welcoming place, right in the middle of nature. Always feel better after being at Manesty.

Extremely cosy and comfy base camp for expeditions across local walks and to nearby Keswick for tourist facilities. As a couple of townies with no local knowledge, limited walking experience, and o my two full days of 'holiday' we managed the Cat Bells walk that starts on the doorstep, as well as peaking Scafell Pike. Trips to Keswick (15 mins drive) provided a tasty Indian dining experience as well as a decent fried breakfast, and as we barely scratched the surface we'd love to return. Hosts were lovely and social distancing well observed on site.

Lovely location and grounds. Very simple furnishing but well equipped. If you are tall watch out for the ceiling beams as there are many as low as 1.77cm!!

Great facilities (be sure to book the rustic hot tub in advance), lovely hosts, superbly beautiful setting!!

Great location, stunning views, stayed in the caravan, very hospitable hosts with great knowledge of the local area, would highly recommend and would happily stay again.

Just got home after a week staying in High Seat at Manesty Cottages. Gorgeous view, beautiful surroundings. The cottage and the gardens were immaculate with all things you might need supplied. Endless walking opportunities. The owners Cheryl and Alan are very helpful and are rightly determined to keep this precious place in the best possible condition.

Nice, clean, comfortable! Lot of walks around. Great aids in the cottage in terms of maps, information, etc. Friendly hosts.
