What a lovely hotel! Right in the middle of the Borrowdale Valley, and nestled in beneath Grange Fell The Leathes Head is ideally situated for much outdoor fun. Prices are good, showers are hot, the welcome is friendly and most importantly the food is excellent! While not Michelin starred, they are Michelin recommended and to be fair the experience is as good as many Michelin starred restaurants I've visited Highly recommended! We stayed at The Leathes Head Hotel in the middle of July and had 8 amazing days. The weather was pretty miserable and rained most days but it didn't stop us having a lovely time. The hotel is beautiful. The staff are amazing, friendly, helpful, experienced and knowledgeable not only about the hotel but the local area and mountains as well. The chef's are superb and the food they produce is fantastic. It is a very well run hotel and we loved our stay. Can't fault the accommodation, the hotel, the staff or the food. Fantastic!! 🌟🌟🌟

We booked here at last minute. The hotel is beautiful, set in lovely surroundings, with views to die for. Our room, no.1 is big ,and pretty. Everything clean. Very comfortable bed, with good pillows and duvets. We booked into the restaurant for the 5 course taster menu, which was fantastic., with a good bottle of wine. There was 9 people in for dinner we were all served at the same time.Our 2 hosts , explained what each course was ,everytime we were served. It was a wonderful night.. A bit expensive, but it was for our wedding anniversary, so it was worth it. Breakfast was good also ,served in a lovely summer room with fantastic views. Hopefully we will be back. , as Keswick is my favourite place, and we visit many times during the year, from Co.Durham, we're here within 2hrs.
