We made our third visit at the start of September this year. It's a joy to camp here with the perfect setting, peaceful atmosphere and clean facilities. Richard does a great job of managing the site and we felt confident that rowdy behaviour seen elsewhere would not be an issue here. There's a lovely pub a short walk away, the site is located on a bus route and there's plenty of local spots for swimming. Looking forward to coming back next year.

Arrived to stay one night at the campsite. Amazing views, and possible to pick your spot on different fields. All sanitary facilities were clean, although simple. But this is what camping is about, isn't it?
The owner is unbelievably warm towards guests, we felt welcome and safe. We left after one night and had a look at campsites somewhere else because we wanted to see different viewing angles, however after spending one night at Chapel House Farm none met our expectations and we came back for another 2 nights!

Cracking campsite - only stayed for one night but wish we could have stayed longer. The owners were very friendly and helped us find a quiet spot. There are rules against noise/big groups which absolutely suited us - and unlike other campsites they seemed to be enforced. Facilities are all clean. Pubs nearby. We will be back!

A really nice spot for camping with stunning mountain views and a little river nearby. The facilities are good and the price is really good. Richard and his wife are very friendly and helpful. We saw meteor shower and northern light on the first night! (The only thing to notice - there is no signal so prepare enough cash otherwise you might need to drive back to keswick to grab some like what we did 😅)

Amazing site, fantastic host, could not complain! Got in last minute with our motorhome.
The owner is very relaxed, straight talking, overall fantastic guy.
Facilities - everything you need! Water, toilets, shower.
Nearby - so much to do nearby if you like walking wild swimming.
Hated leaving and can't wait to be that way again to stay again!

Just stayed one night coming from Honister Slate mine. It was £28 for 2adults+2kids. Brilliant campsite, clean, spacious, showers, toilets, and washing area also really good. The gate was closed at 9pm by the owner for safety. View is absolutely amazing, very quiet campsite. Very friendly owners. I'm definitely coming back again. Thank you very much. Robert +family.

Amazing one night stay at Chapel Farm! Richard is so lovely and gave us a lift to the pub after a day of walking. The site was lovely and peaceful but the only downside is that the showers cost £0.50 and only takes coins (which we didn’t have!) but it was absolutely fantastic other than that. Thank you Richard!

Stayed here for an impromptu night with my Daughter. Lovely little sight, amazing views and really well run and reasonable. The chap that runs it seems to always be about in his pick up with his dog. Really helpful and nice.
The advantage of that is that at 10.30 the site was lovely and quiet - loads of signs that they won't tolerate noise and it seems to do the trick. I'll definitely be back for a longer stay. Take some jungle spray though!

Lovely peaceful campsite in amazing location in Borrowdale valley. I'm a walker and trail runner and was there for 4 days while exploring the surroundings. Good facilities (clean toilets, warm showers, drinking water, rubbish), friendly easy-going farmer, and excellent access to surrounding areas. Showers are 50p but you'll get change from the farmer when paying.
Recommended! Many thanks, Chapel House - look forward to heading back soon.

Stayed here this week with my daughter. Everything about our stay was great. Placing a booking was sweet and simple, pitching up fab, can’t rave about the cleanliness enough and Richard is just a lovely bloke. Such a relaxed and chilled place, my daughter says it’s her new favourite campsite ❤️
