Like campsites used to be! An idyllic field next to the river Derwent, simple toilet facilities in the field and a wash up station. Showers are a short five minute walk to the farm house. Immaculately clean shower block, free hot water, and a small cafe. Plus pizza on the weekend.

Lovely little campsite, in a convenient place for lots of hiking and swimming. Will absolutely be back.

Quite a private campsite with a few campers on different sides of the area. The showers are a 5 minute walk away and closes at 9pm which was slightly inconvenient but was fine since we got to see more of the beautiful view. The staff were super friendly too!

Absolute gem of a campsite. Beautiful location, right next to a river. The toilets are on site and the showers are a 5 minute walk, lovely clean facilities. The pizzas they serve on a Saturday night are amazing. Dan and the other staff are so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Looking forward to going back

A great location with beautiful surroundings, right in the middle of the valley. A gorgeous river runs all the way through the campsite and is perfect for a morning swim.
Really friendly host and great amenities including a little shop, a barn that sells really tasty homemade pizza on Saturdays (you have to pre-book by the Friday night), and showers are all just a 5 min walk up the road from the campsite.

Great location right next to the river. Booked thinking this would be ideal for Scaffel Pike but the main route is on the other side of the mountain and takes 1.5 hours to drive to. Unfortunately the facilities are not great - two toilets nearby which have no hot water and birds nesting in the rafters (which have been to the toilet all over the place and squark at you as you enter!), showers are a 10 minute walk away. The place was full of DofE kids who were noisy late at night and early in the morning. I only check in to sites for the facilities so it was a bit of a let down. Not sure where the toilets are I’ve seen in other reviews as this was not what we were greeted with! The site was being looked after by someone else as the owners were away, she seemed flustered and was banging on people’s tents after 9pm to check them in having not been on site all day!

The campsite was really close to the start of the route we took to reach scafell pike. The Yewtree pub was really good and close to the accommodation. The showers were nice and hot !

Rain rain RAIN! Be prepared lol. Lovely valley camping, available staff and large camping pitches. Clean toilet and washing facilities within walking distance.
No hot water at time of stay which made washing up a nuisance. And, would be better with random firepits scattered and firewood at a less ridiculous price. Also be carful to not be overcharged by the scamming man walking the grounds collecting payments.

Dan was very helpful with helping me out with getting my van from the spot back on the road! Thanks a lot! Excellent pizzas on Fridays. Good showers at the farm. Very basic. No signal. Good value!

I can't thank Dan enough for helping me out of a ditch that I got myself stuck in due to the British weather ☔. Goregous location and perfect to disconnect from the busy world I live in (Liverpool). I bought some local sausages from the Seatoller farm shop and OH MY GOD!! They are gorgeous!! Worth the money.
The walk to the showers is lovely! And the showers themselves were simple but clean and hot!!! Just what you need when camping in the rainy British weather.
Outdoors centre about a 10 minute drive away and the local hotel were very welcoming! I was able to use their WiFi to keep InTouch with my family, which is important to me being a solo camper.
The toilets were very clean!
Overall despite the weather I had a fantastic stay!
Thanks again Dan, for rescuing me from the mud! I promise to be more mindful on my next visit.
