Dissappointing that a bothy is being used to make a profit £225 for a 3 night stay in what should be a free shelter for hikers and cyclists. Its in a beautiful location with lots to explore. If drive up prepare for very tight road you need to have good spatial awareness to navigate the narrow winding lane and the overhanging rocks of the wall.

I came only for a short while but loved the place! Streem, lake, waterfalls, sheep and lovely moss everywhere. I can't say anything about walking here but driving was absolutely fantastic. Great views but must be horrible when a lot of car owners decide to come here.

Loved our week here. The fishing is not easy, the cycling is very hard indeed, but there's lots of good walks, the scenery is breathtaking, and the pubs in Rossthwaite, Stonethwaite and Keswick are warm and welcoming.

The place looks nice. But the drive is very challenging unless you’re in a very small car. Avoid it unless you’re an experienced driver.
