Very good location. Very nice staff. We had a Premium room in the Spa building , it was nice but wasn't worth the money. The spa was nice , staff friendly and helpful , nice and relaxing , just what we needed.||The cooked breakfast wasn't …

Second time here, spending two nights between Christmas and the New Year. The biggest positives at this hotel are the location, which is stunning, the new spa, which is excellent and the staff. Highly recommend the full body massage and I …

Very nice hotel and good location, regular bus service right outside the hotel which is a plus.
Immaculately clean and excellent menu's in the two restaurants which serves very tasty food.
The only downside is service was very slow at peak times especially breakfast and also younger members of staff seemed unsure of what to do! This could just be due to the time of year Christmas /New year period? However this would not stop us returning to Lodore falls hotel ..

Went for the Christmas package and it was wonderful from the word go.
The food was excellent and all the staff were happy and smiling.
The room was small but it is a Victorian Hotel but the view of the lake was amazing.
Great waterfall shower with fluffy towels and robes.
Breakfast had plenty of hot choices as well as a buffet. Recommend the waffles with berries and maple syrup
Christmas lunch was great with plenty of options to choose from.
Everything was laid on with a quiz, the Kings speech on a big screen whilst eating Christmas cake and mince pies.
Would definitely go here again and cannot recommend it highly enough.
Rooms: Nicely decorated and would recommend a Lake View Room.

We had a double and a twin room. The double was nice and the bed very comfortable but the twin was very small and quite ugly, definitely not what you would expect from the price paid.
The spa is absolutely wonderful but you have to pay for entry which makes the price of the hotel room slightly less reasonable. The views from the outdoor pool are incredible.
Staff are all very friendly and the lounge areas are really nice but the food in the Lakeview Restaurant is not what you would expect for the price paid. The food portions are small and nothing special but the view is lovely if you get a good table.
Overall, for the price, staying in the hotel lacked the wow factor but the spa was absolutely incredible and perhaps made up for it.

Absolutely shocking experience , I have no idea where to start! We have stayed for a one night, thank god!
We have checked in our room and first expressions were surprised of how small and dated rooms are for the price you pay for a night?!
Bar stuff is unprofessional , ordering our drinks was not up the standards you get when you pass this place from outside. Staff was on their phones behind the bar, there was a mess on the to of it and lots of times no stuff around queues forming for orders.
Spa area is up to standard but not as relaxing as you can imagine. Outside pool wasn’t warm enough to spend there longer time due to cold weather outside.
We have had booked lake view restaurant for the evening for 9pm. We have arrived half hour before, thankfully we did that as on arrival to the restaurant we have been told kitchen is closing at 9pm. Thankfully We have had time to order before they close but no one told us when we were booking the table that they closing kitchen at 9pm!
The food is tasteless and presentation unprofessional. I can cook better food at home with better presentation.
After our shocking experience we landed in our bed which is bouncy like a trampoline!
In all honesty I can’t wait to be out of here and never return!

WORST SERVICE, COLDEST ATMOSPHERE, 0/5 STARS IF POSSIBLE
Quite possibly the worst and rudest service I have ever experienced, especially coming from a place that appears to look promising from the outside.
Was given a gift card from family to use at the Lodore Hotel so decided to book it over the phone. After travelling over 2 hours to get to the hotel we were informed that the Spa was fully booked and we were supposed to pre-book this.
Not once was this mentioned on the gift card or on the phone when speaking to the reception. The Spa also costs £60 for 2 hours which is quite ridiculous as well.
After asking if there is anything they could do such as move our booking to another date as the Spa is the main reason we went there, we waited about 30 minutes for the so called 'Deputy Manager' to arrive and I was completely shocked as to how unhelpful and rude he was.
He said he will try and see if there is anything he can do and after going into the backroom for 10 minutes pretending to do anything came out and said there is nothing he can do and he also cannot give us a refund or move our booking as it was a gift card.
Money completely wasted. Very cold atmosphere and you feel like the workers there just look at you in disgust.
After this conversation with the 'Deputy Manager' we were just left to walk off and not one sh*t was given from here.
Thanks for your money and goodbye with this hotel.
Email getting sent to higher ups and will be taking this further with trading standards and small claims court.
Never ever will go here again.

Me and my friend stayed a couple of nights at this amazing hotel and we can't understand why its not 5 stars for it definitely delivers in every way as a 5 star hotel. Straight away our room was upgraded, the staff were amazing very helpful very friendly such a warm comfy welcoming environment, the views are stunning they will go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and it is one of the places that I highly recommend and I know for a fact that I would love to come back again and again .The breakfast had amazing variety buffet available as well as the hot menu breakfast. On-site hotel that was just one-of-a-kind and the spa just completely top's the experience .And the views are just breath taking.Highly recommend for families and friends.By far one of the best stays we’ve had so far in the lakes!
Walkability: There are flat walks around the lake and woods which are great for young and older people and then they have steep walk for anyone and experienced hikers

We had the most wonderful stay this weekend....our room 144 was perfect, the evening meal at The hotel restaurant was exquisite with food to die for. All the waiters & staff were fantastic. The food was elegantly presented and tasted so lovely that we didn't want it to end.
We had 2 beautiful winding down hours in the spa on the Sunday morning which was totally wonderful, with such amazing views of Autumn trees, mountains, and the lake.
This is definitely a hotel we would visit again. Thank you...
